NDC Had Parliamentary Primaries In August While Assin North MP Started Citizen Renunciation Process In October (Screenshot Of Certificate)

The NDC National and Regional Executives are been blamed for the current situation of the Assin North MP – Elect James Quayson.

According to information gathered, the MP-elect was still holding a canadian citizenship before he applied for nomination.

The NDC had their primaries on 29 August 2020, at the time the MP-elect has not denounced his dual citizenship as Ghanaian and Canadian.

The executives approved his candidature and allowed him to stand on the ticket of the party as a parliamentary candidate.

However, in October, the MP-elect has begun his dual citizenship renunciation process and was given a certificate on 26th November 2020, 10 days to December general elections.

Currently, the Cape coast High Court has placed an injunction on the MP-elects inauguration after a petition was filled.
