Plateau Police Confirm Abduction Of 2 Aviation Staff. The Plateau State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of two persons at the residence of staff of the Nigeria Meteorological Agency of the Heipang Airport, Barkin Ladi LGA of the State, on Thursday night.
The Command has equally assured that it is making frantic efforts to rescue the kidnapped persons and apprehend the abductors.
According to a source, “The gunmen gained entrance into the quarters at about 8:15 and started shooting sporadically.”
The Source said “three persons were kidnapped, including a husband and his wife. But the husband was able to escape with the gunmen only leaving with the wife”.
Confirming the incident to DAILY POST, the spokesman of the command, said “The Command received a reported case of kidnapping within D Division, Barkin Ladi where two people were kidnapped at the residence of staff of the Nigeria Meteorological Agency of Heipang Airport.
He however assured that “A team of detectives and operational personnel were promptly deployed to the scene and are making concerted efforts towards rescuing the victim, and ensuring the arrest of the suspects”.
