Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has backed Chelsea and Liverpool to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.
Hargreaves said Leicester City will still have a ‘fabulous’ season if they miss out on the Champions League spot.
Thomas Tuchel’s side put themselves in pole position to pick one of the two remaining Champions League spots next term after their 2-1 win over Leicester at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.
Fifth-placed Liverpool can leapfrog Leicester City in the table with victory over Burnley this evening.
Asked for his top-four prediction on Optus Sport ahead of tonight’s Turf Moor clash, Hargreaves said, “I think Chelsea will do it.
“Liverpool now, once they beat Manchester United, I think they’ll get in there.
“For Leicester winning the FA Cup, maybe it took a bit of the edge off yesterday. They weren’t at the same intensity there.
“Champions League would be amazing and a huge overachievement if they could get that.
“But winning the FA Cup and finishing fifth is still a fabulous season for Leicester.”
Hargreaves’ prediction means that champions Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool will represent the Premier League in the Champions League next season.
