Reported Chelsea target Maxence Lacroix has insisted he is happy at Wolfsburg despite being linked with a move away from the Bundesliga club.
According to RMC Sport, via GFFN, the Blues, along with Borussia Dortmund, have initiated contact with the 21-year-old defender.
However, no official offers are yet to be submitted for Lacroix, but Wolfsburg will consider selling him if an offer in the region of €30million is made, the report claims.
Now, in an interview with German outlet SportBuzzer, the centre-back has opened up on his future at the Volkswagen Arena after enjoying a fine season in the Bundesliga.
Lacroix said: “I see [the rumours], but I refer those matters to my advisor because I want to concentrate on my work here at Wolfsburg and want to do a good job here.
“I’m with VfL and qualified for the Champions League with the club. I’m very happy here.
“I still have a three-year contract here and am very satisfied.
“Sure, things can always happen quickly in football, but again: I feel very comfortable at VfL and there is absolutely no reason to think about other things”.
In the same interview, Lacroix was asked about the top clubs in world football at the moment, and the Frenchman name-checked Chelsea.
“Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool, Chelsea, to name a few,” he replied when asked about the top teams in the world at the moment.
The young defender has played 35 matches in all competitions for the German club this season – scoring twice in the process, as well as registering two assists.
At the moment, Thomas Tuchel has the likes of Antonio Rudiger, Kurt Zouma, Thiago Silva, Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen to choose from in the centre-back department.
