Arsenal make statement on Saka
Arsenal have condemned the racist abuse aimed in Bukayo Saka’s direction following England’s Euro 2020 final defeat to Italy on Sunday night.
Saka took, and missed, the decisive penalty in the shootout against the Azzurri and the Gunners ace, as well as Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho were targeted on social media with racist abuse.
Arsenal released a statement on Monday condemning the behaviour towards the 19-year-old.
It read: “You could feel it right across the club. Last night we witnessed the leadership and character we have always known and loved in Bukayo.
“However, this feeling of pride quickly turned to sorrow at the racist comments our young player was subjected to on his social media platforms after the final whistle.
“Once again, we are sad to have to say we condemn the racism of a number of black players.”

Gunners consider Kehrer move
According to Foot Mercato, Arsenal are considering a summer move for Thilo Kehrer this summer.
The Paris Saint-Germain defender has just under two years remaining on his deal at the Parc des Princes and the arrival of Sergio Ramos has made his future with the French club even more uncertain.
The report from France states that the German defender wishes to stay in Paris, but the situation could change before the summer transfer window reaches its conclusion.

Neves transfer talks begin
According to Record, Arsenal are already in talks with Wolves over signing midfielder Ruben Neves this summer.
Neves has just under two years remaining on his deal at Molineux, and the Gunners are reportedly keen on ending his stay with the Midlands-based club.
With Granit Xhaka looking set to leave the Emirates Stadium and join Roma very soon, Mikel Arteta is keen to replace the Switzerland midfielder.
Arsenal are reportedly willing to offer Neves, 24, a five-year deal at the Emirates Stadium as Arteta looks to lure the Portugal international away from Wolves.
The Gunners are also interested in Anderlecht and Belgium midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga this summer as the north London club look to bolster their options ahead of the 2021/22 season after a poor 2020/21 campaign.
