Callum Hudson-Odoi has around three years remaining on his contract with Chelsea, but his future in west London remains uncertain.
The 20-year-old’s career with the Blues so far has been dominated by transfer rumours, with Bayern Munich coming in for the winger a couple of times already.
Chelsea were desperate to keep hold of Hudson-Odoi when Bayern initially came in for him in the summer of 2019 and the teenager at the time put pen-to-paper on a lucrative new deal to stay at Stamford Bridge until 2024.
The English talent became one of the club’s top earners, thought to be on around £180,000-a-week, showing exactly how highly the Blues rated him.
However, for a variety of reasons, Hudson-Odoi has never really established himself in a Chelsea shirt just yet, but has undoubtedly shown glimpses of his ability.
Speculation over his future remains constant, and reports have suggested he could be sold this summer as Thomas Tuchel looks to raise funds in order to bolster his options.
Now, according to L’Equipe, via Get French Football News, Chelsea could look to include Hudson-Odoi in a potential swap deal for Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman.
The Blues are well aware of the Bundesliga outfit’s long-term interest in Hudson-Odoi, so on that part, it makes sense.
Coman has just under two years remaining on his contract at the Allianz Arena, with talks over an extension to the deal coming to a halt around two months ago.
The France international is reportedly demanding too much in terms of wages, an action that has made Bayern open to selling him in recent weeks.
The report claims that Bayern are asking for €90million (£77million) for Coman, which is making a deal very complicated for potential suitors.
Manchester United ‘looked’ at Coman before completing a deal for Jadon Sancho, with Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City both monitoring the Frenchman as well.
Tuchel is thought to be a huge fan of Coman and the Chelsea board are keen on including Hudson-Odoi in any deal to try and reduce the fee they pay for the 25-year-old France attacker.
But new Bayern boss Julian Nagelsmann reportedly wants to keep Coman at the Allianz with the former RB Leipzig manager wanting someone with the ability to ‘break the lines’.
