Arsenal can sign Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez by offering a player-plus-cash deal involving Hector Bellerin.

The Gunners are in the midst of a busy summer transfer window after securing talented duo Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares from Anderlecht and Benfica respectively.

As reported by football.london back in May, the club are also keen on signing a goalkeeper, a right-back and a creative midfielder, with Brighton centre-back Ben White also close to signing for the north London side.

They are also keen to offload several first-team players, with the likes of Willian, Hector Bellerin and Alexandre Lacazette all potentially on their way out of the Emirates Stadium in the coming weeks.

If Lacazette is to depart this summer then Arsenal will need to bring in a replacement and the Telegraph have claimed that they have enquired about the availability of Inter Milan frontman Lautaro Martinez.

The Argentine, who Fichajes claims would cost around £60million, only has two years remaining on his current deal at the San Siro and a straight cash deal may prove too expensive for the Gunners.

However, the aforementioned Bellerin has attracted interest from Inter, meaning he could potentially be used as part of a deal to bring Martinez to north London.

The Spaniard is valued at £22.5million by Transfermarkt and perhaps the Nerrazzuri could be tempted if Edu was to offer £40million and Bellerin for Martinez’s services this summer.

The 23-year-old enjoyed an extremely productive 2020/21 campaign, notching 19 goals and 11 assists across all competitions, extremely impressive numbers considering he often plays slightly behind Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku.

Whilst a move for Martinez may prove difficult for Arsenal, the fact that Inter are interested in Bellerin could help tempt them into doing business with Mikel Arteta’s side this summer.

Furthermore, the Italian giants have also previously been quoted as holding an interest in Lacazette, with Mundo Deportivo reporting last summer that they had earmarked the Frenchman as a potential replacement for Martinez if he was to depart.
