Spurs confirm Gil signing

Tottenham have completed their second signing of the summer after completing a move for talented Sevilla playmaker Bryan Gil.

The tricky Spaniard’s move was announced on the club’s official Twitter page on Monday afternoon, signing a long-term deal with the club.

The announcement contained a nod to Spurs’ left-back Sergio Reguilon, who spent a short period of time with Gil at Sevilla during the course of the 2019/20 campaign.

Argentine winger Erik Lamela was used as a makeweight in the deal, joining the Spanish side after enjoying eight years with the north London club.

Kounde had been heavily linked with a move to N17 earlier in the summer, with transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio suggesting that an ‘agreement’ had been reached between the two clubs a few weeks ago.
