Here are your Tottenham Hotspur morning headlines on Saturday, July 31.
Spurs preparing fresh Romero bid
Tottenham are preparing a fresh bid for Atalanta defender, Cristian Romero.
That is according to Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari, via Inside Futbol, who claims Spurs are ready to increase their offer for Romero to around 50 million euros (£42.6million) and are prepared to add an additional five million euros in add-ons.
The proposed offer is still short of Atalanta’s asking price, and with the Serie A side under no pressure to sell, it’s uncertain as to whether this new bid will be accepted.
Tottenham goalkeeper makes transfer stance clear on social media
Joe Hart has made it clear that he is not being distracted by the talk about his Tottenham future as Celtic attempt to sign the goalkeeper.
The 34-year-old former England stopper joined Spurs last summer on a free transfer and played 10 times under Jose Mourinho in the cup competitions.
Scottish side Celtic have registered their interest in Hart and are attempting to work out a deal when it comes to his wages and potential nominal fee to Tottenham, with the goalkeeper having a year left on his contract.
On Friday morning, Hart posted a photo of himself in training the previous day on his Instagram Story with the caption “Nothing but focus, no matter what #relentless”.

Spurs’ colourful new third kit appears for sale online and splits fan opinion
Spurs launched their away kit recently, bearing a bright, splashed paint look.
The players wore the club’s away shirt for the first time on Wednesday night during their 3-1 friendly victory at MK Dons.
That kit has split opinion to say the least, and it looks like more of the same after the new third strip was leaked.
