Ian Wright, a former Arsenal striker, has hailed Leicester City star, Kelechi Iheanacho, following his impressive display in his side’s Community Shield 1-0 win against Manchester City on Saturday.
Wright described Iheanacho as ‘very sharp’ after coming off the bench to score the only goal of the match.
Nathan Ake miscontrolled the ball as Iheanacho pounced and he was then fouled by the Dutch centre-back.
Iheanacho struck the penalty past Man City goalkeeper Zack Steffen with two minutes of normal time remaining to seal a famous win for Leicester.
“Nathan Ake has got to be aware that he’s needed there.
“He looks like he is on his heels. To be fair, Kelechi [Iheanacho] has come on and been very sharp but it is a poor foul from him.
“The goalkeeper was there, maybe the power was too much for him,” Wright said on ITV.
