Messi reveals toughest time of his career

Departing Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi, has said that leaving the club was the ‘toughest time of his career.’

Messi said this on Sunday during his farewell speech to Barcelona at a press conference in Spain.

“This [leaving Barcelona] is the toughest time of my career, without a doubt.

“I had a lot of tough times, but then I could go back to train and get revenge.

“Now I can’t go back, my time at this club is over,” Messi said.

Messi is widely expected to join French Ligue 1 giants, PSG.

DAILY POST reports that Barcelona had on Thursday confirmed that Messi would leave the club on a free transfer this summer transfer window.

The Blaugrana announced that the Argentine international would not be signing a new contract due to LaLiga regulations.
