Here is your Chelsea morning digest on Friday, August 13.
Sevilla make Kounde statement
Chelsea continue to be linked with a move for French centre-back Jules Kounde.
The Sevilla defender has been long rumoured to be under consideration at Stamford Bridge but since the initial rumours have emerged, news has gone quiet.
That was until Sevilla chief Monchi suggested that a bid had not been placed for his services.
He said: “To this day there is no real offer on the table, nor has there been. Obviously, there’s been a lot of noise, a lot of clubs have asked about him.”

AC Milan move on from Ziyech
While Kounde has been rumoured to be arriving in west London, one man who has been linked with an exit is Hakim Ziyech.
The Moroccan, who scored the opener against Villarreal on Wednesday, had been thought to be under consideration by AC Milan.
However, they have apparently moved on to alternative targets including Atalanta Josip Ilicic.

Rudiger eyed by European giants
Antonio Rudiger’s Chelsea future remains somewhat up in the air.
Despite his fantastic performances under Thomas Tuchel, the German is out of contract next summer and is free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club as early as January.
According to Sky Sports, both Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on his developments at Stamford Bridge ahead of potentially making a move.
But with less than three weeks to go in the summer transfer window – and the new Premier League season starting this week – time is running out for a deal to be done in the current market.
