Arsenal face West Bromwich Albion in their Carabao Cup second round tie on Wednesday night.

The Gunners go into the game off the back of an awful opening start to the season having lost their first two Premier League matches against Brentford and Chelsea.

Mikel Arteta is expected to field a strong team for the visit to the Midlands, with the likes of Aaron Ramsdale and Pierre-Emerick Aubmeyang all likely to be involved.

Arteta will be looking for a morale-boosting result ahead of Saturday’s mammoth league clash against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

The squad is likely to consist of first team players with those who need minutes, such as Mohamed Elneny and Nuno Tavares, expected to feature from the start.

Valerian Ismael’s side have won three out of their four opening Championship games, and the Baggies boss suggested before the game that he’s likely to rest a number of players for tonight’s cup tie.
