Miguel Azeez is set to join Portsmouth on a season-loan loan, football.london understands.

The 18-year-old is one of the most highly rated talents to have come through Arsenal’s Hale End academy and impressed in pre-season with a long-range strike against Watford.

Azzez’s move to the League One side follows in the footsteps of several other Hale End starlets who have been sent on loan in order to gain experience this season.

But who are the other academy prodigies set to go out on loan over the coming days?

football.london has learned that the Gunners sent their loan list to a number of clubs based in the UK, and there are high hopes for many of those being sent out on loan.

Akinola is part of the under-23s having joined after being released from Huddersfield last season.

The defensive midfielder has yet to make a first team appearance for Mikel Arteta’s side and is available for a loan move.

Ryan Alebiosu

Alebiosu has been in talks with Sunderland over a loan move and is expected to secure a move in the coming days.

The 19-year-old can play at right back and has been deployed as a winger in some games.

He played 18 times in Premier League 2 last season and needs senior football to help take his development one step further.

Ben Cottrell

He was a regular for the Under-23s last season and will be looking to work on his physicality over the coming months.

Made available for loan earlier in the summer, there remains the possibility that he could stay and play a full season of U23s games.

Zak Swanson

Florida-born Swanson has been with Arsenal for over a decade and can play across the defence.

He had a brief loan spell at MVV Maastricht in August 2020 but was recalled a few months later.

It’s expected that he’ll go out on loan this season after he was included on the loan list sent out by the Gunners to other clubs.
