Harry Kane could be in line to start his first match for Tottenham Hotspur this season as they welcome Pacos de Ferreira in the Europa Conference League play-off second leg.

In the wake of Kane’s announcement that he is staying at Spurs this season, Nuno Espirito Santo will have to strike a balance between giving some players minutes but also making sure his team wins the match.

This could be the perfect opportunity for Kane to increase his fitness and perhaps get some goals if the Portuguese decides he’s ready to start ahead of Sunday’s Premier League match against Watford.

Elsewhere decisions will have to be made over which of the starting XI at Molineux should start again to strengthen the Tottenham team.

At centre-back, Cristian Romero is back in training after a minor knee injury, but Joe Rodon and Cameron Carter-Vickers remain out injured.

That means one of Davinson Sanchez or Eric Dier will replace the latter in the line-up unless Ben Davies plays at centre-back again.

Son Heung-min had a problem in the warm-up at Wolves but has been training this week. Espirito Santo may decide to give the South Korean star a rest though on the bench unless needed.

Tanguy Ndombele and Serge Aurier are not registered for the match, while Moussa Sissoko has not featured in the past week with his future unclear at the club.

Here’s the team we reckon Espirito Santo will start with:

(4-3-3) Gollini; Doherty, Romero, Davies, Sessegnon; Skipp, Winks, Lo Celso; Lucas, Kane, Gil.
