Tottenham fans were left thrilled on Thursday evening as Harry Kane marked his return to the starting line-up by finding the net.
The England captain was selected from the start by Nuno Espirito Santo against Pacos de Ferreira in Spurs’ UEFA Europa Conference League playoff second-leg.
It marked his first return to the starting XI since making the decision to remain with his current employers, whilst having also released a statement, amid transfer interest from Spurs’ Premier League rivals Manchester City.
He certainly celebrated his inclusion in the side in the best possible way having been handed the captain’s armband in north London, whilst also managing to find the scoresheet just nine minutes into the tie – his first goal since the victory against Leicester City on the final day of the season last term.
Kane managed to get on the end of Bryan Gil’s fantastic low ball before turning the ball home to level matters on aggregate. He then doubled his season tally as he showed his typically razor-sharp instincts to fire home a loose ball.
Understandably, Spurs fans were delighted to see Kane back in action and once again on the scoresheet and took to social media to express their thoughts.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men take on Watford at home having won their opening two league games of the campaign.
The 28-year-old has netted four goals in 12 career appearances against the Hornets, whilst also managing to notch two assists.
