Hugo Lloris

Barely had a save of any note to make. 6

Japhet Tanganga

Did well to reach a Hojbjerg pass and turn it into a sliding cross for Bergwijn to fire a shot at goal in the first 15 minutes. Was then denied himself soon after as he tried to scramble a loose ball towards goal only for the keeper to save. 7

Eric Dier

Headed a Kucka shot off his own line in the opening minute and sent a free-kick at the keeper at the other end midway through the half. Dealt well with whatever came his way. 7

Davinson Sanchez

Did what was required of him against Watford’s attacks and made an important block in the Spurs box from Sarr early in the second half. Yet another impressive display from the Colombian this season and he was dominant in much of what he did. 8

Sergio Reguilon

Got plenty of opportunities to get forward but didn’t do too much with the ball when he did. 6

Oliver Skipp

Battled away with Sissoko in the centre of the pitch until the Frenchman went off and the England U21 international had the upper hand on the whole. 7

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

Played some incisive passes into the Watford boss early in the half and kept the tempo high in Spurs’ transitions, but in the second half, despite some breaks up the pitch his passing was less impressive. 6

Dele Alli

Involved in plenty of Spurs’ attacking work but just lacked that final killer touch. Had a chance to score on 67 minutes but hit his effort low and wide. 6

Son Heung-min

Broke the deadlock with a teasing curling free-kick that drifted into the bottom corner. Looked lively in the first half and had a few low shots at goal. In the second half he had a great breaking midway through which led to an Alli chance. 7

Harry Kane

Got a huge cheer from the crowd when his name was read out just before kick-off and within a minute of the whistle was sent tumbling in the box with nothing given. He tried to make things happen but with little reward in the opening 45 minutes. 5

Steven Bergwijn

Saw a volley deflected over the crossbar early in the encounter. As with Kane he had less success in the final third but worked hard around the box. Couldn’t do enough to stop Lucas replacing him in the second half. 5

Subs

Lucas Moura

Fired a shot across goal that the keeper pushed away soon after coming on. Didn’t offer any more than Bergwijn in the end. 5

Bryan Gil

Replaced Son late on in the game. N/A
