It’s fair to say that since appointing Thomas Tuchel in January of this year, things have gone quite well for Chelsea.
They’ve since secured a second Champions League crown, and were looking to build on that success with a solid summer transfer window to mount a serious title challenge in the Premier League this season.
The club managed to secure Romelu Lukaku’s return to Stamford Bridge with a £97.5million transfer from Inter Milan, after signing a third-choice goalkeeper in Marcus Bettinelli on a free transfer.
There were rumbles of discontent amongst Blues fans should they be the only additions, but Marina Granovskaia pulled a rabbit out of the hat on deadline day by securing Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez on loan with an option to buy.
So, with these two very good additions to an already supremely talented side, who makes up Chelsea’s strongest XI? Let us know via the widget below.
Whilst Granovskaia managed to secure two quality additions to the Chelsea side, she also masterminded the sales of Fikayo Tomori, Tammy Abraham and Kurt Zouma at a combined £88.8m – making it an extremely successful transfer window.
So be sure to let us know how pleased you are with Chelsea’s window in the comments and if you think they’ve done enough to be considered title favourites.
