Gary Neville has fired out a Premier League title warning to Chelsea’s rivals following their dominant 3-0 win against Spurs.
The Blues moved to the top of the Premier League after claiming the three points as they moved above Liverpool and United with all three teams locked together on 13 points.
After going into halftime goalless, coach Thomas Tuchel once again made a bold substitute as he took Masoun Mount off and replaced him with N’Golo Kante and the change quickly paid off.
Chelsea broke the deadlock four minutes into the second half when defender Thiago Silva crashed in a thumping header from a corner.
The visitors doubled their lead in the 57th minute when substitute Kante saw his shot take a big deflection off Eric Dier and fly in off the post.
Antonio Rudiger’s late strike from 12 yards out following Timo Werner’s cross wrapped up another hard-earned victory for Thomas Tuchel’s side.
And after Rudiger’s goal wrapped up the three points, Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville fired a warning to the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United as the Premier League title race begins to heat up.
The former United fullback was full of praise for the Blues, who he said look ‘really, really good’.
Neville said: “If you’re Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool any other team who’s got aspirations of winning this title, you’d fancy your chances if you finished above this Chelsea team because they look really, really good.
“It’s a brilliant finish from Rudiger; if anything they’ve been a little bit complacent in the last five minutes with their finishing.”
Sky Sports pundit Roy Keane also revealed that he felt Chelsea were dominant as Spurs came up short.
“Chelsea were excellent, with real quality and desire,” the former Manchester United midfielder said.
“It was men vs boys – I could not believe how bad Spurs were.
“You can have an off day and obviously some days you lose to quality, but lack of desire.
“We saw it with the second and probably third – all the goals… talk about wanting to put your body on the line.”
Chelsea also registered a 3-0 win in their previous Premier League match last weekend against Aston Villa, while they have also beaten Arsenal and Crystal Palace as well as registering a 1-1 draw away at Liverpool despite having Reece James sent off so far this season.
