Arsenal and Tottenham told what they must do to win Dusan Vlahovic transfer race

0 Arsenal and Spurs told how to sign Vlahovic

It’s looking more and more likely that Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur target, Dusan Vlahovic, will leave Fiorentina in the future.

Vlahovic netted 21 goals in 37 league games last season for the Florence-based outfit which has earned him links with the north London duo.

The 21-year-old has just less than two years remaining on his contract with Fiorentina and the two parties have been involved in negotiations over signing an extension.

However, the club recently released a statement where President, Rocco Commiso, confirmed that the Serbian will not extend his current deal.

He said: “When I arrived in Florence, I promised the fans that I would be up front with them and that I would never make promises that I could not keep.

“During my time in Florence over the past few weeks, I have personally endeavoured to find a solution that would make both the player and the club happy, but I am disappointed to say that our efforts and attempts have not been rewarded.

“At this point, all that we can do is acknowledge the wishes of the player and his entourage and quickly identify feasible, appropriate solutions as we proceed with this exciting new season.”

Now that it’s clear Vlahovic has no intention of staying at the club long-term, Arsenal and Spurs have been told how they can sign Vlahovic.

According to the latest reports from Calciomercato, via JustArsenal, Fiorentina have set an asking price of £77million for the forward.

Both the Gunners and Tottenham face competition from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Premier League rivals Manchester City, but if they want to sign someone who will instantly improve their respective squads, they’ll have to pay what the Serie A side think he’s worth.
