Here is your Arsenal morning digest on Thursday, October 7.

Luiz absolved of Jiminez blame

Wolves striker Raul Jiminez has revealed that he lays no blame with David Luiz for the fractured skull he suffered during a game against Arsenal last November.

The Mexican came off worse in what was a horrid clash of heads with the former Gunners central defender, who has since returned to his home country of Brazil.

He was forced to undergo surgery which ruled him out for the remainder of the 2020/21 campaign.

“One of their players goes to the front post and passes in front of me,” Jimenez explained to Colombian network W Radio, via the Mirror.

Gunners told how to sign Vlahovic

Arsenal and Tottenham have been told how they can sign Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina.

The 21-year-old will not be signing a new contract at the club, and now it seems as though the Serie A giants are ready to cash-in on him.

According to the latest reports from Calciomercato, Fiorentina have set an asking price of £77million for the forward.

Both the Gunners and Tottenham face competition from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Premier League rivals Manchester City, but if they want to sign someone who will instantly improve their respective squads, they’ll have to pay what the Serie A side think he’s worth.
