Arsenal are set to play Crystal Palace on Monday night which is the first game after the international break.
The Gunners will be looking to continue their impressive form which started after the September international break and are currently on a four-game unbeaten Premier League run.
However, the Eagles will certainly make it a test for the North London club to make it five games unbeaten as Patrick Vieira has had a promising start as Crystal Palace boss.
The danger poised from the South London club will also be spearheaded by Odsonne Edouard who is familiar with Arsenal, especially with left-back Kieran Tierney.
Speaking to the UMM YouTube channel about the Scotsman, Edouard said: ”Yeah! He’s very good.
“I had the chance to play with him for two years and I enjoyed it. He makes a big impact on the left-hand side. He gave me a lot of assists so it was good.”
Edouard and Tierney both had successful spells in their time together at Celtic winning back-to-back Scottish Premiership titles in 2018 and 2019.
The Frenchman had a perfect start to life in Premier League after scoring two goals in his English league debut against Arsenal’s biggest rivals Spurs, which saw Palace win their first game of the season 3-1.
He seems an absolute bargain at just £15m and it was a deal that the Gunners should have looked to explore before he signed for Crystal Palace.
However a potential transfer to Arsenal in the summer was blocked due to the club’s failure to offload Alexandre Lacazette or Eddie Nketiah.
Edouard would’ve been the perfect back-up for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and at just 23-years-old, he has the potential to take the Arsenal captain’s spot once he departs from the club.
On top of this, he already has a strong relationship with Tierney due to their time together at Celtic which I am sure they would have linked for much more success in a red and white shirt.
Instead, Arsenal have to focus on nullifying the threat of the Frenchman and with Arsenal’s current defensive record, the confidence will certainly be to their favour.
Gabriel Magalhaes and Ben White have created a strong partnership and previously prevented Tottenham’s Harry Kane from scoring as he usually does at the Emirates Stadium and will look to do the same against Edouard.
Vieira’s Palace side have looked threatening in their opening games of the season which have all been tough fixtures, so Arsenal should expect a tough match against the London side.
