Chelsea rescued a point in the second half, against Manchester United after Jorginho slot home a penalty.
Manchester United got the first goal on the scoresheet as Jadon Sancho capitalised on a mistake from Jorginho to easily fire past Edouard Mendy.
Carefree Chelsea’s social producer, Jai Mcintosh (JM) spoke to editor Scott Clayton (SC) and United On My Mind members, Casey Evans (CE) and Mike Parrott (MP) on Sunday evening’s Post Match Review show about the Chelsea winners and losers of the game…
JM: “I thought Jorginho was really good in the first half but then he put his Timberlands on in the second half. His first touch was absolutely stinking. I don’t know I don’t really know why he’s the last man back.
“If N’Golo Kante was playing he’s that sort of player for recovery pace. Overall I was relatively happy with Jorginho. But, it wasn’t his best game. I don’t think anyone had their best game.”
“I’ve been critical of Hakim Ziyech lately and I don’t think his end product was great. He’s a very one-footed player and that makes you limited anyway. Callum [Hudson-Odoi] wasn’t good today, he has been recently. But it was not his best game.
SC: “Reece James put in some really good balls in the first half when no one was attacking that six-yard-box. It’s a bit suspect that Reece James is going to put in that ball and they need to attack it.
“All three of the attacking players were wanting to drop back deeper and we just needed someone to be in that six-yard-box. Alonso was frustrating and it is so easy to see Chilwell and then him on how much impact Ben has.
“He hasn’t played in the last couple of weeks so I’m going to give him the benefit of doubt. But, he didn’t do enough. [Ruben] Loftus-Cheek was quiet in the first half. Jorginho did well in the first half but that touch made it hard to give him man of the match.”
