Twitter Users Attack Presidential Aspirant, Moghalu Over Controversial Comment

A presidential aspirant on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and former deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Prof Kingsley Moghalu has come under heavy attack over a social media comment on Twitter.
Moghalu, a former presidential candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) in the 2019 general elections, had on Wednesday morning tweeted @MoghaluKingsley thus: “In politics, beware when momentum builds too early for a candidate. It’s often short-lived. Winning momentum builds gradually but surely, and often comes from behind to win.”

The tweet which was posted at 10:34am and had already 49 retweets; 150 likes and quote tweets with comments from Nigerians and other users claiming that Moghalu was referring to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant, Peter Obi.
 

Twitter users who reacted to the tweet shortly after the tweet warned Prof Moghalu to focus on his own campaign rather than attacking other candidates.
Some of the commentators claimed that the tweet was targeted at the former governor of Anambra State, who among the aspirants for the number one citizen of Nigeria, had garnered support from across the country.
