Billionaire Chelsea bidder joins Boehly in Stamford Bridge crowd » Chelsea News

Todd Boehly has been a regular at Stamford Bridge for a long time, but now he’s in line to be the club’s new owner, his presence is always picked up by the cameras at Stamford Bridge.

On Thursday night he was spotted with his first celebrity guest in attendance – WWE superstar John Cena.

Today it’s not such a big name globally – but instead a man who Chelsea fans should pay attention to, as he’s part of the club’s potential new ownership.

The Athletic’s Chelsea correspondent Simon Johnson noted that Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss, a key part of the funding of Boehly’s bid, is in the American’s box at the Bridge today.

Wyss has never claimed to be interested in the footballing side of the purchase – this could be his first visit to the Bridge for all we know – but like any smart businessman he wants to see what he’s about to pay for.
