Thomas Tuchel used yesterday as an opportunity to give some players who had been in the squad all year without featuring much a chance to play.

That should be a reward, but it could also end up counting against some of them.

Malang Sarr, for example, was caught sleeping by Dan Gosling for the Hornets’ equaliser. It was only one moment in a whole season, but given it was his last real contribution, one fears it might stick in Tuchel’s mind.
