CaughtOffside are reporting that Romelu Lukaku has left his agency P&P, after being disappointed by the work of his former agent Federico Pastorello.
The 29 year old was thriving at Inter Milan last season, but financial issues there and the departure of Antonio Conte meant Lukaku was persuaded to return to Chelsea.
That move has been a disaster so far, and the Belgian clearly blames his agent.
Caughtoffside report that he’s already got his new representative – a lawyer – in talks with Inter about a return. He will meet with Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta next week to try and arrange a return to Serie A.
Frankly, it’s hard to see them pulling it off. Lukaku cost so much money, and is on such big wages, that Chelsea probably won’t be able to shift him even if they, Inter and the striker all want the same thing.
Let’s see what this new man can do.
