Chelsea are blessed with many great young players coming through the ranks at the club, some further on with their development than others.
Of course, it is often the loan moves that make or break players, and there has been some very successful loans this season.
A player you can put in the category is absolutely Levi Colwill, who’s been at Huddersfield Town all season in the Championship, which is actually a very tough league to play in.
But he has not only held his own, he’s had a very good season and progressed really well. There will now be a big decision to make for Chelsea, Thomas Tuchel, and Colwill himself, as they pick his next move this summer.
A player who is probably more qualified than most to make a judgement on Colwill is one who’s been alongside him playing and training all season, his Huddersfield team mate Lee Nicholls.
The goalkeeper thinks Colwill is going straight to the top.
“Levi will go the whole way, I feel like he will go straight to the top,” Nicholls said at Wembley as reported by Goal. “I feel like he could even become England captain if he wanted to be.”
