After a summer of tracking Romelu Lukaku’s transfer TO Chelsea, it looks like this will be a summer spent tracking his attempts to transfer away.
It’s only May, but there’s already a big acceleration in news around the forward’s future.
The whispers of a meeting between the forward’s agent and Inter Milan have been rattling around for a few days, and today big dog of the transfer world Fabrizio Romano confirmed it by saying the Inter board will meet Lukaku’s lawyer “in the coming hours.”

We’ve said all along this looks like an impossible deal for anyone to pull off, and Romano rams that home, saying it’s “really complicated.”
We paid so much for Lukaku and have him on such big wages that nobody can come close to paying us back. The best we would be able to do is loan him out, and even then, we would only get part of his wages paid.
In that case, why bother?
