Chelsea return to an old target as he looks to move past injury problems » Chelsea News

Chelsea have once been linked with Leicester defender Wesley Fofana, this time by French source RMC Sport.

They write that the Blues and Manchester United are leading the chase for the centre-back, who has returned from injury and started playing regularly again in the last few months.

Before his enforced break from the game Fofana had impressed at St Etienne and then in his early days at Leicester, looking at one point like one of the best young defenders in the Premier League – so it’s easy to see why teams haven’t waited long after seeing him playing again to make their interest known.

Jules Kounde looks almost certain to come to Chelsea now, but with two senior players in those positions leaving, fellow Frenchman Fofana could be joining him.

Leicester will want big money, and it may be a case of playing the waiting game, as we have done with Kounde.
