Rudiger says Chelsea Hazard was “undoubtedly one of the best players in the world” » Chelsea News

The Daily Mirror have some quoted from Antonio Rudiger’s first interview since arriving in Spain, and while he’s mainly focused on his new team and his new teammates, Chelsea did get a mention when it came to one man – Eden Hazard.

Rudiger and Hazard had some great years together in West London, and will now link up again in Madrid.

The winger was at the top of his game as Rudiger was just starting out at Stamford Bridge, and as he explained, he hopes to see the brilliant Belgian shine again.

“I’m very happy to be with Eden again, now at Madrid,” Rudiger said.

“I know it’s been a tough few years for him, with a lot of injuries and problems, but I still hope Madrid fans can see the Hazard I played with, because he was undoubtedly one of the best players in the world.”

Chelsea fans almost universally want to see Eden back to his best, if only for the joy of watching him in full flow, dancing around defenders and sliding passes between the lines.

It will be especially painful to watch Rudiger and Hazard teaming up somewhere that isn’t at Chelsea, but we still want to see our boys succeed.
