Petr Cech is a living legend for Chelsea, and he’s been called up for Soccer Aid this weekend.
Despite joining up with a team for the charity event, he’s got plenty of other work on his plate, helping with the handover of Chelsea to a new owner, and heading into a massive summer of recruitment.
Interviewed today, he admitted he was “living on the phone”, with agents and clubs and other staff members at Chelsea.
When everyone else’s season ends, Cech’s really begins.
There’s a colossal amount of work to be done, both administrative behind the scenes work and of course plenty of transfer and loan activity to get through.
The takeover means everything is delayed, and there’s catching up to be done across the board.
It’s a tricky job which requires all manner of skills and contacts – but there’s nobody we would trust to do it all perfectly than the super smart and switched on Cech.
