Serie A interest in another Chelsea academy product keeps growing » Chelsea News

Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been linked with a move to Lazio for a couple of years now – but in the end it was Fikayo Tomori who made the leap from the Chelsea academy to Serie A first in the January of 2021, followed that summer by Tammy Abraham.

Both have been smash hits in the Italian top flight, so perhaps it should be no surprise that the interest in RLC has only grown, with Inter now apparently ahead of Lazio in the race to sign him.

Sempre Inter report that he’s in the mix to replace Roberto Gagliardini, if they decide to sell their central midfield asset.

We can see Ruben really thriving in Serie A – on the other hand we love having him at Chelsea, even if he’s destined to only be a backup. His skills are so unique, and this season he really showed some important versatility.

We may sell him if the price is right – but equally we can see Thomas Tuchel being happy to keep him around.
