With Chelsea in need of serious reinforcements in defence, the rumours of Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde and Chelsea have appeared again.
The Blues were pushing for Kounde last summer and had confidence in agreeing a deal, until the last minute, where Sevilla moved the goalposts and increased the asking price.
According to Spanish outlet Marca, cited by AbsoluteChelsea, Sevilla do not want to rush the sale of Jules Kounde and will not accept less than £55m. They also claim Chelsea have submitted an offer of around £42m in recent days.
Personally, I feel Chelsea can agree a deal around the £50m mark for the French defender. It really feels like a matter of when and not if with this deal.
The situation is so clear on Kounde’s side – he wants to join Chelsea and wants to play in the Premier League. It’s just about agreeing a deal with the Spanish side.
