The media are in a frenzy today trying to report the latest information and get all the juicy details on Romelu Lukaku’s proposed move back to Inter Milan from Chelsea this summer, and the striker appears to be pushing very hard for this move.
It looks like now that all parties want to get a deal done fast, but there is some negotiating to be done first.
The reliable Ben Jacobs has just penned his latest update on what is going on based on his sources.
Jacobs believes that Chelsea are exploring a swap-deal with Inter Milan as well as a loan deal, and that Inter will push to get the loan fee down to less than 15 million euros, as he explains in the thread below…
Direct talks are now taking place between Chelsea and Inter to negotiate Romelu Lukaku’s return to the San Siro. Significant negotiation needed. Lukaku will have to take a wage cut (and accepts this). Chelsea are exploring both a traditional loan and a swap-deal.
