Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City.
We heard yesterday that the Gunners had offered an impressive £50m for the forward, while Chelsea are paralysed by the Romelu Lukaku situation.
The move seems to be progressing. Tonight, the times reported that Jesus “wants to join Arsenal,” making their task significantly easier.

There isn’t much Chelsea can do right now. They may feel they can persuade Man City to sell to them, and they may feel that they can persuade Jesus to pick them over Arsenal.
But until they know that Lukaku is going, there’s not much else they can do. That deal should be wrapped up in the next week, if it happens at all.
But at the current rate of progress, it will be too late for Jesus by then. There are other options out there, but the forward is Premier League proven and might be the best man on the market this summer.
