Impatient Chelsea fans on social media are gagging to see the club buy stars for the first team, so in a way it’s been pretty funny to watch them get frustrated by the fact that so far the club has just been linked with teenage goalkeepers.
Gabriel Slonina looks likely to join from Chicago Fire, and Eddie Beach from Southampton is also apparently close to a move.
That all makes a lot more sense now we know that the Blues are planning to send their current development squad goalkeeper Lucas Bergstrom out on loan.
Cheksea U23 goalkeeper Lucas Bergstrom is on the verge of a loan move that should be announced today or tomorrow. A lot of pieces falling into place in the GK/academy area. @GoalNews

Nizaar Kinsella of Goal.com has reported that Lucas Bergstrom is on the verge of a loan move that will be announced tomorrow.
We haven’t heard any hints about where he might go, but on the evidence of previous keepers and the fact they tend to be developed more gradually up through the divisions, we expect a League One or Two move for Lucas, if he stays in a domestic division.
