Insider makes most obvious statement of the summer on Lukaku transfer » Chelsea News

Ben Jacobs of CBS is the latest man to have a take on the Romelu Lukaku saga, and while it’s written up like a revelation, it’s actually blindingly obvious.

He says that Chelsea will only sell the striker if it makes financial sense – and not out of sentiment. The clubs are closing in on a deal, but it will only happen if Chelsea are happy with the terms.

Why on earth would Chelsea make any move out of sentiment for Lukaku? Azpilicueta maybe – he’s been at the club for ten years and we can imagine them agreeing a nominal transfer fee to let him leave a year before his contract ends.

But Lukaku has been nothing but trouble, and their desire to get him back to Inter never had any sentiment about it to begin with.
