Spurs stop chasing Gabriel Jesus and are now focused on two others

According to the Evening Standard(h/t the Daily Mail), Spurs are no longer interested in signing Arsenal target Gabriel Jesus.

In the previous few days, Tottenham had joined their North London rivals in the race to sign the Brazilian but as per the rumours, Gabriel Jesus is not keen to join Antonio Conte’s side.

He wants to play regularly which is why he is more inclined to make a move to the red side of North London and now, Spurs have also understood that they do not stand a chance to sign him. The Lilywhites have backed off and will instead focus on two of their other targets.

Antonio Conte is eager to add an attacker to his squad before the new season begins which is why Spurs will now be chasing Richarlison and Raphinha.

Will Arsenal now be able to sign Gabriel Jesus?

The Gunners are already in the advanced stages of signing the Man City man and according to Fabrizio Romano, they are now in talks with the player over the personal terms.

Earlier this week there were reports that Man City and Arsenal have verbally agreed on a transfer which means all that’s left is for the forward to agree on the personal details.

Now, with Spurs officially out of the race, it’s only a matter of time before Gabriel Jesus heads to the Emirates Stadium.

Will Spurs be able to sign either Raphinha or Richarlison?

Both Richarlison and Raphinha have been tipped to leave their respective clubs but Spurs will have to engage in some fierce battles if they want to sign either one of them.

Raphinha is wanted by clubs like Barcelona and Chelsea and we doubt if Spurs will be able to convince the winger to snub two such big clubs and join them.

Kulusevski has done really well on the right wing for Tottenham and the last thing Raphinha will want is to play second-fiddle to him next season. Also, he has his heart set on a move to Barcelona but the Camp Nou outfit are struggling to gather the necessary finances.

Richarlison should be securing an exit this summer but like Raphinha, he too is wanted by multiple clubs. After Lukaku’s return to Inter, Chelsea are actively chasing Richarlison meaning Antonio Conte’s side will have a serious battle on their hands.

However, Richarlison is one player who is almost 100% certain to leave because the Everton manager needs funds to be able to rebuild his squad for the next campaign. Also, he has not made up his mind regarding his next destination.

Richarlison, at the moment, has less competition than Raphinha so Spurs will have a better chance of bringing him on board.
