Raheem Sterling to join Chelsea after personal terms agreed » Chelsea News

Raheem Sterling’s personal terms with Chelsea have been agreed, according to today’s update on the transfer from Nick Purewal.

It seems like the winger will sign this week, with the Blues jetting off to the US for their preseason tour in a matter of days. As it stands, it looks like that deal should be done by then.

Sterling will be the first signing of the Todd Boehly “era” at Chelsea, one that has got off to a particularly slow start on the transfer front.

While we’ve seen three first team players go, we’ve seen none signed yet.

Purewal went on to describe that the signing would be a big boost for the squad, and we can understand why. Not only does it mitigate the feeling that the squad is getting weaker compared to last season, it also adds a proven winner – whom many of the quad know from England duty – to the group.
